Corrosion is a key issue in extreme marine, mining, industrial and mobile applications, as well as many other markets, which can cause direct and indirect economic loss. In this regard, higher requirements are needed for the corrosion resistance of hydraulic joint fittings.

Cladding material parsing

1. The surface is chromate passivated. The resulting treatment should be completely free of hexavalent chromium.

2. The thickness of the sealant is about 2 um.

3. Total thickness is 8-12 um.

4. Smooth surface, fine grain, adhesion, no blisters, pits, or nodules

In order to demonstrate the corrosion resistance of the DME joint, the DME DABPM107M-2020-Ni-Zn hydraulic pipe joint was selected and the salt spray test was performed under ASTM B117 and ISO 9227 standard conditions. And the change time was recorded as well.

DME's Ni-Zn electroplating for hose fittings has been proven to withstand 1000 hours of corrosion resistance, with no red rust appearing far beyond of SAE standards, which can effectively resist harsh and complex corrosion environments.
