IOS14001:2015 is an environmental management standard formulated by the Technical Committee on Environmental Management (TC207) of the international organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO14001 aims at supporting environmental protection and pollution prevention, providing a system framework for organizations to coordinate the balance between environmental protection and social and economic needs, and better helping enterprises improve their market competitiveness; Strengthen management, reduce costs, reduce environmental liability accidents.

Following the ISO9000 series of standards, the organization for standardization has launched the ISO14000 series of environmental management standards. As the core of ISO14000 series standards, ISO14001 environmental management system standard is the fundamental criterion for enterprises to establish environmental management system and carry out audit and certification. ISO14001 standard is composed of 17 elements of five parts: environmental policy, planning, implementation and operation, inspection and correction, and management review. The elements are organically combined and closely linked to form a PDCA cycle management system and ensure the continuous improvement of enterprise's environmental behavior. It is an effective means to enhance market competitiveness.
